The young boy Billy Elliot discovers a passion for dancing which leads to conflict in his blue-collar family. The scene is set in a British mining city duringthe 1984 strikes against Thatcher's closure of the mines. The dance takes Billy to the capital to audition for the Royal Ballet. Ages 10 and up.
