Our planet Earth is also known as The Blue Planet. It is a beautiful planet and we would all like to keep it that way. How to do that? Well, we can reduce, reuse and recycle.
Not all the energy we use is necessary. Sometimes, we forget to turn off the light when we leave a room. Sometimes, we leave computers and TVs on standby instead of shutting them down. Remembering to shut everything down helps the environment.
Most of us like new clothes, new phones and new computers. We get new stuff all the time and we throw away the old even if it works. Why not try to find opportunities for reusing all the things? How about giving your clothes to charity or organising a 'swap day' with your classmates. Some shops even take back your old mobile phone. They can use the small parts. Other shops take back your old clothes if they are in good state and sell them again.
We all know recycling. Separating materials is important, so make sure you know where to throw them. There are many possibilities for recycling at home as well. Make cleaning rags and pillowcases of your old t-shirts if they are in a really bad state. Get a compost bin where you can throw your leftovers to make fertiliser for your plants.
There is so much you can do; it is easy and it is good for our planet! Take a look in the video below:
