Countable and Uncountable
Most nouns have a singular form and a plural form, therefore they are called countable nouns – they can be counted, e.g. 'one orange', 'two oranges'. However, like in Danish, English also have some nouns that cannot be counted, e.g. 'flour', 'sugar' and 'gold'. These are called uncountable nouns. Many of these are uncountable both in Danish and in English.
