Background
Minecraft is a 3D game, where you use building blocks and bricks to create virtual communities. It is a so-called 'sandbox game', which means that the game is open-ended.
Minecraft was created by Swedish programmer Markus Persson in 2009. It soon became a worldwide success, selling more than 20 million copies worldwide. In 2016, Minecraft: Education Edition was released. It is designed for classroom use and fits perfectly into a classroom setting.
