LGBT Seniors Tell Their Story
Background
The public opinion on homosexuality and homosexuals has changed many times throughout history. In ancient Greece, it was customary for men to take young boys as lovers. In the early days of Christianity, however, homosexuals were severely punished. In recent years, homosexuality has become accepted and legitimised in many parts of the world. In the USA, same-sex marriage has been legal nationwide since 2015. But it was a different story only a few decades ago.
